Aiming to cut through the noise and create a new East London energy, Massimo Dutti skimmed the edge of glittery fabrics with their Watermelon Collection at East London Arts Centre yesterday. Not your typical clothing rollout, the event hired 40 actors dressed like Mannequins to embrace the gathering crowd at the EC1 Pop Up Area. Mixing red carpet glitz and glamour with on-stage music performances, the night was expected to be simply more of the same old same old.
